My baby is growing up!

I cannot believe that Charlotte is 5 years old! She is in kindergarten now. K1. Her separation anxiety is getting better. The little monkey is just so attached to me. Haha. I on the other hand, happily dump her off at school so I can have lunch w my friends.

A new year ..

Well, I am thoroughly ashamed of myself. 

My last post was in 2014? February? At the Airshow?! .. whatttttt??! The Hubby and I were just discussing how we didn't want to go this year. Lol. 

We are pretty sure the weather is going to be crappily hot. And well, honestly ..  once you seen an Airshow in the States..  the one here isn't so hot. Well, weather yes. Scarily so. Lol. 

The Airshow that I will always remember was the one at Canon Air Force Base in October 2002 I think. It was getting colder.. .we had just arrived from Singapore..  and man, it was awesome. 

The planes really flew low and the static display looked more impressive than what we have here. Well, that's what I remember, anyway.

Claudia celebrated her 17th Birthday and Charlotte celebrated her 5th Birthday before that. Exciting month. We won't see a birthday celebration in our family till July .. woo hoo! Eating birthday cake gets kinda old when you celebrate 8 birthdays in a year (inclusive of my maid's ) .. haha.

The Singapore Airshow 2014

Awesome stuff. We went down to have a look see. The girls enjoyed themselves a lot .. Lol.

Yes, she chose the cake design herself. Had it been up to me, it would've been a nice Disney Princess cake .. but nooo, The Daddy brought her to the cake shop and had her look at the designs so she could pick one herself ..

And she chose Diego. *sigh* Not Dora .. but Diego. The BOY cartoon character. LOL. Anyway, she was really happy with her cake .. and she got to wear the tee I got her from Gymboree.com.

The new year begins ..

OK, so I've sucked at blogging these past few months. Been busy with the girls. And school. And generally being the chauffeur in the family. Here are some pics taken in Jan and Feb so far.

Charlotte turned 3 in January. Claudia turned 15! My gosh. That makes me 40. Bummer, man. I'm old. Lol.

Chatty baby

While we didn't plan on having Baby No. 5 - and then we did, we have found Charlotte to be an absolute joy. Ok, not saying that had she been a difficult baby we would've have regretted it (lol) but it sure makes it easier when she's such a ray of sunshine most of the time.

She doesn't have bad moods. And she's really chatty and intelligent. At 2.5, she can pretty much hold a decent conversation. And she asks clever questions to boot. Today, as she was holding onto her My Little Pony figurine, she asked me how come the pony only had one eye. The figurine was made such that her mane fell over one eye this making it look like she was one-eyed. Since the mane was also made of moulded plastic, you couldn't just sweep it over the other side to reveal the hidden eye. 

I explained as simply as I could and just prayed she would either get it or drop the topic altogether. Lol.

Charlotte is growing up

My bestie keeps saying that for an accident baby (we hadn't planned on having a fifth baby), Charlotte is a real cutie. And very easy to handle. And smiley. And clever. Lol. What can I say, I'm her mom. I'm bias.

At just past 2 years of age, she can say a lot of things. And she's cheeky too. And she loves singing along to Kelly Clarkson in the car. 

I can still remember first finding out I was pregnant again. I had suddenly felt nauseous for no reason. I instinctively knew I was pregnant and quickly did the math AND a pregnancy test. Bingo. Lol. I totally blamed the stupid app I had on my iPhone that was supposed to tell me when my fertile days were so I could avoid getting knocked up. Didn't work out that way obviously. Lol.
