Standing at my bedside nekkid .. lol .. ok, so she had on her diaper ... Calista prefers to be on the floor crawling and standing up holding onto something. Doesn't mean she's all stable and about to walk .. I don't think she is. I taught her how to wave "Bye-bye" yesterday and she can do it already when I ask her to .. so cute !!

Emily turns 3 next month !

Emily turns 3 on the 28th of Sept .. how time flies indeed !! ... She and Lauren now bicker and argue NOT just play happily all the time. Some of their little arguments are really funny cos it's a case of misunderstanding ..

Lauren who watches "Ben 10" nowadays was telling Emily .. "You're going down, Emily!" ..

Emily of course says ...

"noooooo !! Emily going up" ...

and so they bicker back and forth about it .. *sigh*

After church on Sunday ...

ok, first off .. excuse the crappy photo quality .. I can't find my Canon charger so I was using this Fuji compact camera .. hate the photos that I get with it. Anyway, here is Calista ... after she just woke up :p



All dressed for church !!

Here we are in church .. in the "cry" room .. meant for families with small babies and toddlers. It overlooks the sanctuary ... see the glass behind Emily ... that's where the sanctuary is .. we're on the 3rd floor looking down at it.

At Vivo for lunch after church. Here is Lauren in her new Gymboree dress .. I love this one :) it's a halter dress.

At the food court, I decided to finally use that Snazzy Baby Deluxe travel chair ... it's awesome. I gave Calista her lunch :P

Emily eating her chicken rice .. she was sitting under the a/c vents and got cold ... lol. Thank goodness I had her cardigan with me.

It was very bright outside ... hence the squinting ...

We had ice cream at Earle Swensen's after lunch ... Emily isn't really a fan of sweet stuff. She had just a few teaspoons of ice cream and then she was done. Give the girl a bowl of white rice and she's as happy as a lark ...

Claudia enjoys reading ... *thank god* so I have no qualms buying books for her at all .. Bookaburra had a bookfair at her school a few days ago and I spent about $70 on these few books. Damn, books are expensive ...

Another new dress - this time from BloomB ... it was on sale !! .. $25.90 only BUT I have to say I was disappointed with the workmanship ... don't think I'll be buying anything else from them so soon.

To give or not to give ....

I've been thinking about giving my girls vitamins for awhile now .. I've always thought that as long as the girls are eating what they should, it is sufficient ..

But lately, with the flu and everything around, I've decided that maybe I ought to give them vitamin supplements to help them along ..

One of the things I've gotten for them is Vitamin C pastilles .. and also Nordic Naturals Children's DHA formula. The other thing that I got for them is Sambucus for Kids by Nature's Way.

They've only just started taking these. I hope it does help them :p

Sephora at ION ...

We went to check out the new shopping mall on National Day .. I decided to get some new make-up for myself and walked into Sephora .. to the M.A.C counter ... Lauren sidled up next to me as I was looking at the lipsticks and asked, "So, mummy .. what colour are you getting for you and me?"

The SA started laughing ... I rolled my eyes and told her that the lipstick was for me ONLY.

Calista eating ...

Calista had this for lunch and dinner today .. it's a new flavour that I've never tried on her .. I was half afraid she wouldn't like it .. but she was ok with it. She didn't really eat as fast as usual and the amount I gave her was less than usual too .. slightly more than half a Pigeon bowl.




I really did not know that my camera has a max recording limit of 3 minutes .. so that's all the footage I have. I thought I made it to the 5 minutes she took to finish eating her dinner .. but it was only later when I reviewed the clip that I realized it was only 3 minutes' worth. bummer.

We were at the Boat Quay area today for a short while ... we had to sign some papers at the lawyer's office ... Stanley said we didn't have time to sit around and have coffee. Bummer .. all we had time for was one lousy pic ...

Calista .. how much she eats now.

This is Heinz's Creamy Pasta and Tuna Mornay ... I usually feed her out of a Corelle bowl (cos I reheat the food in the microwave) but after speaking to one of the mummies I know ... and hearing that her dotty takes a whole bowl of porridge (she uses this same Pigeon bowl) .. I poured out Calista's food into the her Pigeon bowl just to have an idea of how much she eats .. I already knew it wouldn't go to the brim ... but I was kinda worried that it would be about half or less. Thankfully, it was about 2/3 full.



And yes, after 5 minutes, the little aunty was done with her dinner ... now onto snacks ...



I've been popping the banana puffs into her mouth instead of letting her pick them up herself cos I think she takes too long and initally, none went into her mouth but stayed in her tightly clenched fist .. lol. Anyway, I decided that I wanted more time to eat my dinner so I let her feed herself so I could have some peace .. lol.

I still couldn't help myself and fed her the puffs. lol !!

well, I pulled Lauren out of Berries cos it wasn't really helping her ... I think it's ok if your kid can already speak some Mandarin .. but since she can't, I think she wasn't really learning anything in a classroom setting with a whole bunch of kids.

So I started her on one-on-one tuition at home with a Chinese tutor from China ... the lady used to teach in a preschool in China .. so I'm hoping Lauren will learn from her. She's been teaching Lauren for about 3 weeks now .. here she is singing ..

Calista is 8 months old !

How time flies ... my baby is 8 months old .. actually, she was 8 months old a few days ago .. but it slipped this mummy's mind ... lol !!

Calista is well over 8 kg and she loves eating her food! No problem feeding her at all .. she takes about 5-10 minutes to eat and recently, she's begun to accept drinking baby juice! .. She is a cheerful, happy and talkative baby!



I realize that I have a problem. I hate seeing her in the same bodysuit more than a couple of times .. so I keep buying new ones for her. She has more than 20 I think ... Gap, Guess, Ralph Lauren, Osh Kosh .. Carters, Mothercare ... - eh it is my last chance to buy these baby items - I am careful NOT to let Stanley see me buying though or he'll complain. LOL.
