Silver Boxes K1 n K2 song presentation.

Lauren's Silver Boxes class (that's what our church calls Sunday School) is presenting a song during the 9am service on the 14th of March. Here they are during rehearsal today.

Daiso ...

Went to Daiso to look around the other day.



Dumped Calista in their shopping trolley .. She was fascinated cos it was a bit different from the ones that u see usually.

These ones - she was seated rather low in a little plastic seat - only problem was the lack of a seatbelt so the little aunty kept trying to clamber out ... bugger!

Aspirin .. Lots of it

When Lauren and Emily fight, I need aspirin. Lots of it. There's lots of noise - crying and shouting and sometimes some one smacks the other one and then the other one retaliates - u get the general idea. Lol !

Emily can sleep anywhere

Ah yes, it's been awhile since I last posted a pic of Emily falling asleep in the oddest of positions Here she is 3/4 way through her dinner. She mentioned to my maid that she was tired and barely a few minutes later, voilà! Out like a light! Lol!

Little Miss Big Eater

Emily halfway thru her 2nd helping of dinner. She loves rice a lot. She can eat it plain. And she's really independant and has been feeding herself since she was 2 and a half. And quite neatly too - no mess on the table and on the floor. And she eats fast too - quite frighteningly so.

Thing to do at the moment

Calista is currently fascinated with the seat belt mechanism in her high chair and will holler if u try and strap her in without first letting her have a go at it.

Not our SLK !!

We were at my good friend's place having a gathering for the Lunar New Year - and she bought herself a cool Mercedes Benz SLK sometime ago ;) got my girls to pose with it - lol !!

Calista steals fish fingers off the table.

Innocent looking right? Not so ... a while later, she took a fish finger off the plate in the kitchen .. yes, my maid was watching her so she didn't pull down the whole plate onto her head .. and then started eating it greedily. lol !

Yummmms .. all done. :p

Here is Calista having some snacks - ok the snacks are gone but don't u just love her bodysuit ??!! Hubby bought a whole bunch from Carters when he was in the States the last time. Love the colour combo - brown with blue ;)

Emily starts ballet class

Emily asked for ballet class the moment she started nursery. I was hesitant at first cos I was afraid she would cry in class .. thereby making it a waste of my money .. lol ! .. But I was dead wrong. I signed her up for the trial class ... and she hasn't looked back since.

No tears .. no hesitation .. no reluctance to go. NOTHING. She looks forward to the class every week .. and Stanley says she is the most eager student in the class .. following her ballet instructor's every command. lol !!


Besides, I didn't have to buy a single item for her to start lessons except of course, pay for the lessons .. cos they were all hand me downs from Lauren. Except the tights of course .. that I got new ones :p

I also started Lauren in Bebe Ballet at the same age .. and Lauren was a crybaby ... lol ! .. I was stuck inside the class during lessons so she wouldn't cry. Emily has no such issues .. After years of seeing Claudia and Lauren go for ballet class ... she was really very excited to also start on lessons.

Another useful gadget ...

Another useful gadget I've recently purchased is the Tiny Bites Food Shears. Man, these things make meal preparation easy for toddlers .. They are lead free and BPA free and the shears have a protective plastic cover so you can dump a pair into your Kate Spade diaper bag and not have to worry about it poking and tearing your bag! ...

Of course it basically is a pair of scissors for cutting up baby food into small pieces. Duh. But I don't think I'd use just ANY scissors you get from Daiso or Popular .. lol. You can I guess. It never occurred to me actually - to use scissors to cut up food into small bits .. cos I've always used a knife and fork.

But I've opened mine up and tried it. And it's so super easy!! I'll never go back to using a blardy knife. Especially, when we're outside having a meal. Makes life a whole lot easier.

Strawberries and pettiskirts ...

Calista's favourite fruit to eat now are fresh strawberries. She loves them !! .. I usually cut them up as such and feed it to her .. she eats HAPPILY! .. lol !
We attended a birthday party over the weekend .. Lauren's ex-classmate from ballet class .. I remained friends with her mom even though they have moved to another dance school ..

Yes, the other 2 also have pettiskirts as well .. just that Emily's is all pink while Lauren's is light pink with hot pink frills at the bottom ... they lurve their pettiskirts! ..
