sigh ...

I must be doing something wrong as a parent ...
Other little girls want those fairy dress up sets with a tiara, wings, heels and a little pink handbag ... and my daughter insists on THIS .. flippers, goggles and the tube thing ..
She's been asking me for a set for awhile now .. I really didn't think she was serious about it until we were at Toys R Us .. I gave her a choice .. a fairy dress up set with lots of pink, fluff and glitter .. or this ..

At the zoo for the upteenth time ..

What is it with kids and the zoo? Lauren has been asking and asking to visit the blardy place .. so today, after I ran an errand .. I drove to the zoo amidst cloudy skies .. it had rained earlier but it stopped by the time we got there ... I was DAMN hungry too but we soldiered on to see the animals and then I wolfed down food at KFC at the entrance on our way back home ..

Fast food never tasted so good when you're near starvation .. lol

Emily was "reading" her book and decided to put her head down to rest on the coffee table .. obviously felt tired and sleepy and promptly clambered onto the table to have a little nap ... hahaha !!

Lauren's FIRST ever stage performance !!!

Lauren and her nursery and kindy Sunday School class presented a choral performance onstage in church in front of the 9am congregation during the traditonal service .. we were initally quite worried she would break out in tears cos the church is packed during service and it's not a small church ... thankfully, she was fine *phew* ...

Of course, this excited mummy sat in the very first row so I could take pics and wave at her ... hubby was like ... "What????!!! Sit in the FIRST row ..? Isn't that too near the pastor?" ... hahahahaha ...

Eh, that didn't stop me from almost nodding off during his sermon ... lol



The nursery and kindy Sunday School classes being led onto the stage by the teachers ...



The kiddies were asked to wear ethnic costumes for today's performance ...



The first row of kiddies was the kindy class ... they looked older and they could all sing the song ..



It was a BIG group of kids performing ..



hehehe ... see the cheeky girl ..

hence the big smiles on their faces .. they're having chocolate ice-cream after dinner ... lol :)
If you're wondering how come their hair isn't tied up .. well, they've all just had their baths before that so it really isn't all that dry yet ..

Forget about the parade ... I need my beauty sleep!

Emily was sitting on the sofa watching the NDP .. well, she was watching the commandos free falling .. when she nodded off to sleep ... poor girl!! She was tired I guess from the whole afternoon of running around and playing ... :)

I didn't realize that I had bought the same colour dress for both Lauren and Claudia (I got the dresses on different shopping trips) .. lol .. that's what you get for shopping like there's no tomorrow ... and for THREE girls too .. things can get kinda confusing .. :)
