Walking steadily now

Charlotte took her first steps at about 9.5 months and now a month later, she can toddle along pretty steadily :)

Happy 3rd Birthday, Calista

I was sick as hell last week. And I also realized that I had arranged to go to a friend's place on Calista's birthday. No matter, I thought. It was a good friend and I was going to bring the girls anyway .. So I wanted to buy a cake and have Calista blow out the candles there so we could all have cake for tea. Little did I know .. My friend had out up birthday banners and balloons and insisted on buying the cake. We almost wrestled in front of the shop. Haha. Anyway, she's a sweetie. I was frankly still quite weak from the flu so I really couldn't much aside from getting a cake for the little girl.

The girls had a swell time at her place. As did I. Tracey and I can yabber on and on and not get bored. Lol.

Prata time!

Attended a friend's party last night at the NSRCC chalets at Changi. Man, I detest driving there. It's rather far away and a chore to get to. Lol. But for my friend, I went. Haha! She had gotten catering from a prata company so the girls were thrilled to have prata for dinner.

In other news .. Claudia got her PSLE results yesterday! She got 4 As! So relieved for her. Lol.

Everywhere ..

You can feel Christmas coming. And it's our favourite time of the year. Yesterday, the girls and I went down to Ikea to have a look around and buy a few things. Actually, the girls don't enjoy going to Ikea much cos they find that there is nothing much to see there (ie no big ass toy dept) .. But of course we went anyway and had meatballs for tea. Lol :p they were happy.

10 months old !!

Time flies and Charlotte is now 10 months old!!

And the school holidays have begun! Yay! Hubby left for the States for work so before he left we went to renew our family zoo membership. Then walked around a bit there.

So the little girl is 9 and a half month old now. And she's taken her first few steps !! Awesome ya?! She is a bubbly, smiley little girl.

Will post that video of her walking when I can.

 

But of cos ..

Yes, so I've pretty much given up on trying to feed Charlotte rice cereal. Or any kind of baby food that is in a powder form that requires hot water and/or formula to reconstitute to form a porridge like consistency. The girl hates it. And she can smell it a mile away. And refuse to eat it.

Sigh.

So once again (yes, this has happened 4 times before) .. I am back to buying Heinz baby food in jars. She also loves Rafferty's Garden. That is some good stuff man .. And the packaging is wonderful. Those metallic foil type pouches .. So easy to carry around. And I don't even need a bowl. I just squeeze it straight onto a spoon thanks to their unique spout system! I sure am taking motherhood to new heights (or new lows .. whichever) ... Lol ! She loves the breakfast range which is rice cereal mixed with fruits. And also the smoothies - as a snack after lunch or dinner. So easy !!!

If u have a little one, I highly recommend Rafferty's Garden !!
