Start of the holidays and I didn't know what to do. Anyway, Lauren had wanted to do some painting so that's what they did today before lunch time :p

Puzzle time!

Lauren and Emily love puzzles. Especially those big floor puzzles :p

Went to the kindy today to have a meet up with Lauren's teacher. Both her English and Chinese teachers are pleased with her progress. Lauren is teaching herself how to read and tries to read almost everything! Surprisingly, her Chinese teacher says that she seems interested in Mandarin class and her spelling and writing are excellent. Phew - I was really worried she would be averse to learning Chinese.

I'm starting them both in Chinese kindy 3 times a week next term.

Why I need a stroller and my maid

Calista can be a real handful. I am not kidding. I guess I had to get at least ONE kid like that after 3 relatively easy kids to handle. Sigh.

She is forever running off, climbing, getting herself into all sorts of scrapes and situations. And she's only about 18 months old. Thankfully, she is fine with sitting strapped down in her stroller.

Today, however, I had to leave the stroller in the car while I did my monthly household and grocery shopping at Carrefour.

She refused to sit in the trolley. And from then till I was done getting stuff some one hour later, she was like this little terrorist.

Sigh. Look at the pics!

Firstly, she was grabbing things off the shelves. Eh, this is a first for me. I've never had a kid like that before. It's truly tiring. Lol. I think I must've said "Calista, don't touch", "Calista, put it back", "Calista, come here" and "No!!!!!!!!!!!!" like a zillion times this evening.

2ndly, the little aunty thought this was fun. Sigh.

And lastly, look at what she's holding ....

Yes, you know what that is. It is a toilet plunger alright. She picked it up while I was getting some kitchen cleaning stuff and proceeded to carry it all the way. She knew what to do with it too!! She would toddle along, stop on the middle of nowhere and "pop, pop, pop" the plunger onto the floor. Egads!!!

I totally regretted not bringing my maid along. She was home with the other girls cooking dinner and I had met a friend earlier for tea so oh well, tough for me. Hmmmm, wonder how Hubby would feel about getting an additional maid?

Sigh. I wish. Lol! In the meantime, I think duct tape seems like a pretty good solution.

Hahahaha!

Don't eat fries, Mummy

On Wednesdays, Lauren has ballet class. Emily and Calista were with me last Wednesday as well so while Lauren was in class, we were at good ole Macdonald's having fries and a drink while I chatted with another mother who I'm good friends with.

So the following day, it's Emily's turn for ballet class. The little girl obviously figured it out that Mummy doesn't sit patiently outside the studio for her but runs off somewhere like to Macs.

So before she runs into class, she tells me, "Mummy, you wait here ok? Don't go to Macdonald's and eat fries and talk to your friend" hahahaha!!

My Mother's Day loot

Bread cut into a heart shape with butter and cherries on top. Lauren did it at kindy. Of course, first thing I asked her was whether the teacher made sure everyone washed their hands first. Lol! Then she made me eat it. Hahahahaha!

Emily's gift to me. She coloured it in nursery class. She was really proud to give it to me :p

During Silver Boxes yesterday, the girls were given fresh flowers to present to their moms. I got a huge sunflower from Claudia and carnations from Lauren and Emily :p they also made little gifts hand decorated by them for me. So sweet :p

The little rascal

Calista loves climbing. Sigh. That's one of the reasons why I seldom leave her, with Lauren and Emily at home with only my maid to watch over them. Not that I don't trust my maid. I am just well-aware of Calista's michievous ways and I wouldn't want an accident to happen at home while I'm not around. Better to be safe than sorry.

I left the room for mere seconds and she was already climbing up Claudia's bunk bed. Lol.

We went to Temasek Club yesterday for a very short while. Lousy place. Huh.

I think it's time I take the girls to some sort of vegetable farm cos Lauren saw this tree outside someone's house on our way back from church today and asked me - wait let me show u the tree first.

"Mummy, do we get broccoli from that tree?"

Lol!!!!!

Lil rascal :p

Here she is after her bath. Actually it was quite a while later. She refused to put on any clothes except for her diaper and went running off before I could put the onesie on her. Cheeky girl.

Check out these cute feather boa flamingoes. They're not just novelty items. They're pens!! Aren't they cute?!
