Emily is gaining weight

Yes, she lurves her food. A lot. Especially home cooked food. Fish balls, vegetable soup and rice with whatever meat we're having. And she also loves fruit especially bananas and grapes. My gosh, the girl can wallop seedless red grapes like there's no tomorrow. And this after a full dinner with 2nd helpings.

We've had to control the grapes she eats or else it's totally possible that finishes the whole bunch on her own! Lol!

This term in K2

Lauren starts Chinese spelling. Bummer man. So on top of her weekly English spelling words that she has to memorize, now there's Chinese spelling as well. Claudia had it as well when she was K2 and yes, I bitched about it then as well. Lol :p

Tomorrow's words. Blardy hell.

Running ...

Emily currently has a running nose and cough. She has Daddy's genes - sensitive nose.

Here she is at her pediatrician's clinic at Parkway East.

Crafty Sunday evening

The girls making "stained glass" lol :p I cut pieces of vinyl and tape them to pictures and the girls use glass deco paint in bottles to draw and fill in the pictures :p they enjoy doing arts and crafts a lot.

For a 3.5 yr old, Emily is pretty neat and has a steady hand :p

Emily enjoys puzzles

Got her 4-twelve piece wooden jigsaw puzzles in a box by Melissa and Doug. It's meant for 3+ year old kids as stated on the box but I found it a bit too easy. Surprisingly, Emily enjoys putting the puzzles together - I thought she wouldn't like it at all. Hmmmm, will buy her the other varieties they have now that I know she enjoys it.

Camp was fun

Claudia enjoyed camp immensely. Thank goodness. I wasn't a big fan of camping ever. When the school band had an overnight camp in school when I was in sec 1, I thought it was a huge hassle to lug my clothes, toiletries etc. Ugh.

Claudia was full of stories about her time at camp. They did rock climbing and played lots of games. She had lots of fun with her friends, eating, playing and sleeping together.

They were required to bring their own plate, cup and eating utensils for those couple of days. Now that it's over, Claudia has decided to continue using the stuff she brought there.

Yes, they're all metal. Emily asked me last evening at dinner why Claudia didn't like her Hello Kitty plate any more. Lol!

The strawberry and grape monster

Calista likes fruit. Particularly grapes and strawberries. Actually, my girls enjoy eating fruits. Last night, Emily tossed her lollipop aside in favour of grapes :p

Calista is about 16 months old !

Of course, Little Miss Vainpot HAD to wear her high heels. Do I ever regret buying those for her, man ... lol! .. She's tottering around everywhere in them .. I'm so worried she'll trip and fall on her face.

See the diamante pendants both girls are wearing? They're just plastic of course. From Daiso. They came with a sheet of jewelled stickers ... quite a steal for 2 bucks I must say .. stickers and a pendant! .. no chain though. U can't really see from the pics, but Lauren's is PINK and Emily's is orange. Not too tacky ... ok for a kid to wear.

Calista got her chicken ox and MMR injections. Cos I made a mistake with the date, I had to bring my other 2 girls with me to the clinic so they got to skip school. Happiliy might I add. I had to leave my maid behind to fetch Claudia from school so I was ALONE with 3 small kids - all under the age of 6.

SIGH.
By the time I got home, I was havin a headache. Not cos they were naughty or anything. But it's just tiring bringing so many kids out on your own. lol ! I quickly called ahead and got my maid to come down to the lift lobby of my condo to get them so I could at least park the car in peace. ALONE.
LOL :p
Calista is doing well according to her pediatrician, She's in the 90th percentile for height (She's abt 80cm) and head circumference but her weight is only in the 75th percentile. So she's kinda like those aliens ... tall and slim but with a big head. HAHAHAH!

My cheeky little girl

Calista is cheeky and really active. She loves climbing up onto the dining table via the chairs and standing on the table. Sigh.

Silver Boxes

Lauren's class presented a song today in church in front of the 9am service. All kids are different - I remember Claudia at that age being really shy and reluctant to be on stage in front of such a large crowd of people. Lol :p

This is what I see from the church "cry room" where parents with babies/toddlers sit during service ... it's a room (soundproof glass) on one entire side overlooking the sanctuary. We have a huge LCD tv screen mounted on the wall so we get the close-ups etc that u can see in the pic .. the 2 screens there ... we see the same thing too on our screen in the room ... with the glass wall and the sound system and tv in the room, u pretty much feel like you're there in the sanctuary as well.

After service, we headed to Suntec for grocery shopping and lunch. Of course we totally forgot about the IT fair. Carpark was closed so we parked at Marina.

At Marina food loft, the 2 girls eating their chicken rice :p

Calista had pasta :0

My dear Claudia :)

Favourite thing to do now ..

Calista loves playing with buckles. She will kick up a fuss everytime I strap her into her carseat not cos she doesn't want to be in there but cos she wants to have a go at buckling herself up which of course she cannot do. Sigh.

She can however manipulate and successfully work the buckle of her highchair. After she's done it though, she will look at u, point at the buckle and say "there!" ... in a I'm-about-to-cry kinda way. Hahahahahaha!

Happiness is ...

When you're holding on to something you're not supposed to be touching in the first place. Then grinning happily when your clueless mummy asks u to smile for the camera. Lol!

See Calista holding onto the cordless phone. I lurve this shot :p

Calista is 15 months old ..

Calista is now 15.5 months old. She is a very smiley baby :p and when she smiles, she looks just like her Daddy !

I love this Osh Kosh skort. It's one of the few things I've kept from Lauren's baby stuff.

My little Miss Sunshine :p

Sunday stuff

Spent the early part of Sunday at home. Stanley was ill so we didn't make it to church in the morning.

Calista having a go on the kiddy ride :)

It was a really hot and humid day again. It was awful. But guess where we had to be in the evening? A barbeque. Can I beat that?

Thankfully, the barbeque pit was located right outside the air conditioned function room (this was at a friend's condo) so I pretty much stayed in that room enjoying the air con the whole time I was there. Lol !

Condo name : The Acacias. Very small development - low rise apts. New. Quite cosy :)

When sisterly love isn't a good thing

It's freaking 35 degrees celcius out there and no one should be wearing any kind of jacket or cardigan. The girls do sometimes cos their kindy's air conditioning seems to be permanently set to sub zero at times.

Today, Lauren put her jacket on Calista who even though was perspiring profusely, thought it was super fun.

She's ONE - what does she know?! Lol!
